Tucker’s exhibition title, So Rich a Mantle, draws inspiration from a quote by Thomas Jefferson reflecting on the beauty and abundance of the American landscape. In this spirit, Tucker presents richly layered oil paintings of forests, mountains, lakes, and streams—works that move beyond representation to evoke memory, emotion, and atmosphere.

Rooted in observation yet guided by intuition, Tucker’s abstract landscapes favor feeling over realism. Through expressive gesture and bold use of color and space, she invites viewers to question certainty and embrace the beauty of uncertainty.

Based in Charlottesville, Tucker holds a BFA from Georgia State University and has completed residencies with Lawayaka Current, Saint Gertrude’s Monastery, and Phaeton Gallery.
