TORI CHERRY AND BRITTANY FAN - NEAR AND DEAR: ORDINARY OBJECTS AND DISTANT LANDSCAPES

  • Phaeton Gallery & Carriage Works Studios 114 Old Preston Avenue Charlottesville, VA, 22902 United States (map)

Phaeton Gallery is pleased to present

Near and Dear: Familiar Objects and Distant Landscapes

Featuring the work of Tori Cherry in the Main Gallery

and Brittany Fan in the 1915 Gallery.

Though distinct in subject matter, both artists explore a shared sense of near and dear—the intimate objects of home and the faraway places we come to know through travel and imagination. Tori Cherry’s paintings center on the familiar and the quiet rhythms of daily life, while Brittany Fan’s landscapes invite viewers into distant, expansive terrain. Together, the works create a thoughtful dialogue about how place, attention, and emotional connection shape our experience of the world.

Join us for the opening night reception on Friday, February 6, from 5–8 PM at our Old Preston Avenue location in Charlottesville. A conversation with the artists begins at 6:00 PM.
